Who we are
Who's behind Media Bite.
Media Bite built a piece of infrastructure the internet never had: a way to pay for a single piece of content, on its own, without subscribing to anything, and without being subjected to endless algorithms, marketing messaging, and your data being sold to others. We started it because the web gave you two choices - subscribe to everything, or get nothing - and neither matched what people actually want.
So much of what matters comes down to a moment - the one thing you want to read, watch, or learn, right when you want it. For almost all of us, the only answer in that moment has been subscribe to everything or get nothing. It isn't that publishers and creators didn't want to offer more; no one had a way to sell that single moment securely and profitably. That's the problem we exist to solve.
We're Media Bite, Inc., a Delaware corporation. We work directly with publishers to bring pay-per-access to the sites you already visit. We don't sell ads, we don't build advertising profiles, and we never sell or share your personal information. We earn a small fee when you pay to access a Bite, and that's the entire business.

You stay anonymous to the publishers you're accessing.
No publisher learns who you are unless you decide to tell them yourself. They receive only a confirmation that a Bite was paid, never your name, your email, or a phone number. So there are no unwanted emails, no texts, and no one tracking what you read to follow you around later. The record that lets you pay stays on our side, anonymous and tied to no publisher you access content from. That isn't us knowing more about you. It's how the anonymity works: because we keep it, the publisher never has to, and your identity never crosses to them. Payments run through our payment partner, and your payment credentials are never exposed to publishers. We never sell or share your personal information, and anything a publisher ever sees is aggregate, with no individual identifiable. If you ever choose to reach out to a publisher yourself, you decide exactly what to share, and nothing is sent until you send it. Only you can reveal you, and only if you want to. Your attention isn't the product. The one thing you came for is.

Yes, one Bite Account, set up once. It holds your balance and keeps your identity and payment details on our side, so no publisher ever sees them. Add $5, $10, or $20 whenever you like, or turn on automatic refill and $10 is added when your balance runs low.
Usually about a dollar. Each publisher sets the price for their own content, so it varies a little, but it's always pocket change for one thing, never a monthly commitment. You always see the exact price before you pay, and nothing is ever charged until you've seen the amount and tapped to confirm.
If a Bite doesn't open, you aren't charged for it. Bites you've already used are final, since you accessed the thing you paid for. Any unspent balance in your Bite Account stays yours.
Just try again - it will work, and you're never charged twice for the same thing. You only ever pay once for what you actually access.
